EnobSim Plus app for iPhone and iPad

EnobSim is a simulation of the effects of simple types of distortion on a sinewave. It is also a handy calculator for converting between ENOB and SINAD, jitter and noise, dBm and volts, and a few others.

EnobSim is the free version and simulates with sine wave signals only. EnobSim Plus is a significant upgrade, adding NRZ and PAM4 PRBS and 0101 pattern NRZ data as well as spectral display and some other features.

Heres a list of possible uses:

-Visually simulate the effects of noise.
-Visually simulate the effects of harmonic distortion.
-Simulate how harmonic distortion varies with signal amplitude.
-Convert between ENOB and dBFS and linear rms. volts.
-Calculate timing jitter caused by random noise and finite digitizer resolution.
-Visually see how digitizer noise compares to Gaussian noise.
-See how channel loss might affect the signal seen by a receiver.
